- French VDI standards, Grade 3 and Grade 3s surpass Cat7 performance in regards to frequency spectrum carried. Using either grade allows for RF transmission of FM/TV signals (Grade 3) and Satellite signals (Grade 3s) via the same cable. Cat7a cable is roughly equivalent to French VDI Grade 3, having 1000Mhz spectrum (Cat7 specification is 600Mhz).
